STONE 2027 – Two worlds, one industry
From January 26 to 29, 2027, the STONE trade fair will return in a new format. This change is not merely about a new exhibition layout; its purpose is to present the stone industry across its entire value chain – from raw materials, through processing technology, to design, fabrication, and final implementation. STONE will be held concurrently with the BUDMA, WINDOOR-TECH, Archi-Strada by BUDMA, and Progetto Fuoco Poland trade fairs, which further broadens the opportunities to reach professional audiences.
The new format is based on two equal pillars: STONE ARCHITECTURE and STONE TECHNOLOGY.
- The first addresses the needs of architects, designers, investors, and contractors, showcasing stone and other materials as elements of modern architecture.
- The second remains firmly rooted in the daily needs of stone processing plants – and STONE TECHNOLOGY will be one of the most important components of the upcoming edition.
STONE TECHNOLOGY – technology you can see and evaluate
For a professional stone processing plant, a trade fair makes sense when it offers solutions to specific production challenges: how to increase efficiency, improve quality, reduce waste, expand the range of services, or prepare the plant for new market demands.
Therefore, STONE TECHNOLOGY will not be just a catalogue-based exhibition. In a specially designated, dedicated space within the BUDMA trade fair pavilions, the technological offering targeted directly at stone industry professionals will be concentrated.
It will feature, among others, stone processing machinery and equipment, CNC centers, saws, waterjet technologies, diamond tools, stone care chemicals, surface treatment and finishing solutions, transport and assembly systems, and technologies for handling large-format materials. What will matter is not only what the manufacturer has to offer, but above all the opportunity to compare available solutions and discuss their practical applications.
This is particularly important in the case of technological investments. Purchasing a machine, a CNC center, or a processing system is a long-term decision. Therefore, a professional needs not only technical specifications and prices, but also answers regarding efficiency, production capacity, maintenance, support, and real-world application in their facility.
STONE TECHNOLOGY is designed to be a venue for such discussions.
An essential part of the program will also include live machine demonstrations, technology presentations, workshops, and live shows. The ability to observe the processing workflow, test a solution, and speak directly with its supplier makes it much easier to assess whether a given technology truly meets the needs of the plant.
The development of this section is also carried out in cooperation with and under the patronage of the Polish Stonemasonry Association (Polski Związek Kamieniarstwa), which strengthens its industry-focused character and significance for the professional stonemasonry community..
From the workshop to architecture
The second pillar – STONE ARCHITECTURE – will be developed in Pavilion 4, adjacent to the ARCHI-STRADA by BUDMA project. This is a space addressed primarily to architects, designers, investors, and decision-makers responsible for material selection. The slogan THE SURFACE EXPERIENCE – Stone • Glass • Wood • Light will emphasize the significance of the material, its texture, color, and application potential.
For the stone industry, this also means access to audiences who decide on the use of materials in specific projects. Consequently, stone will not be presented solely as a product, but as an integral part of the entire design process – from concept to execution.
STONE will be hosted in the newly restored Pavilion 4 – one of the most distinctive exhibition buildings in Poznań. Thanks to its architecture and history, this space has long been one of the symbols of Poznań International Fair.
In fact, connecting both spaces is one of the key objectives of STONE 2027. An architect needs the material and the contractor. A stonemason needs the technology, the material, and new orders. A technology manufacturer needs plants that invest. An investor needs partners capable of executing demanding projects.
STONE 2027 aims to create a venue where all these needs meet at the exact same time.
