The most important event of the stone and glass industry, which included the Stone Industry Fair - STONE and Glass Industry Fair - GLASS ended on Saturday, November 17th. The fair events took place in four exhibition halls and were participated by over 220 exhibitors, and the number of professionals who visited the exposition, exceeded five thousand.

State-of-the-art and reliable technologies

This year’s exposition of the STONE Industry Fair was displayed in four exhibition halls, in which the exhibitors presented inspiring expositions from natural stone, specialized equipment for cutting and stone processing, as well as products for cleaning and maintenance of stone surfaces. Concurrently with the STONE fair was held the GLASS industry fair, at which one could see glass elements which perfectly match stone designs. At the exposition one could take a closer look at wood processing machinery and cutting tools, which allowed the professionals to evaluate their potential and possible applications in companies they represented.

Traditionally, the two fair events were the place of presentation of many technological novelties: state-of-the-art machinery and equipment for processing of natural stone. At the fair were granted the prestigious awards: Gold Medal and Acanthus Aureus. Among the products which received the Gold Medal were: ATMS laser plotter CO2 PRO710 (producer: ATMSolutions sp. z o.o.), 5-axes saw Donatoni JET 625 CNC (producer: Donatoni Macchine SRL, Sant’Ambrogio di Valpolicella; company which registered the product for the contest: MEKANIKA sp. z o.o.), first in the world high-efficient, personal waterjet protoMAX (producer: Corporation, Kent, USA; company which registered the product for the contest: JET SYSTEM sp. z o.o., sp. k.) and tombstone accessories from stainless steel (producer: ADJATECH sp. z o.o., sp. k.). Małgorzata Nowicka, Zdzisław Nowicki, GRANUMLUS LDA, H.M TARN GRANIT Hanna Mickiewicz, INTERSTONE Sp. z o.o., Hallindens Granit AB and TIERA STONES sp. z o.o., sp. k.

Arena STONE Platform

The two fair events were accompanied by the events developed especially for the professionals from the stone and architectural industry, which aimed at allowing their representatives to establish closer business relations. One of such key events was Arena STONE.

Arena STONE is a platform dedicated to professionals from the stone industry, architects, designers and owners of design offices. On the occasion of this year’s edition of the STONE fair, the platform was held for the first time, ultimately however it is to become an integral part of the fair, content-related, inspiring and allowing for presentation of innovative solutions using stone and glass. Its program included lectures of the industry experts and presentations of the well-known and recognized around the world designers who use natural stone in their works. Among the lecturers it is worth mentioning famous Italian designer, Raffaello Galiotto, who held a presentation entitled “MARMO 4.0. Experiments in natural stone”, world-renowned mosaic creator, Giulio Menossi, chief editor of a German industry website www.stone-ideas.com, Peter Becker and Polish artist creating mosaics, Lubosz Karwat. All of the presentations attracted great interest of the visitors, which proves that the events addressed to the stone and architectural industry are incredibly necessary on the market and interesting for the professionals from both fields.

The beauty enchanted in stone

There is no need to convince anyone that stone can be used not only in utility products, but that it also constitutes the base for many significant architectural and artistic products. The proof that stone might be the best carrier of important ideas were e.g. the Shows of Champions of Poland in Hand-processing of Stone, which were held during the fair. A monument commemorating the 100th anniversary of regaining independence by Poland was created a result of the Championships .

Moreover, the visitors also had an opportunity to see the exhibition of works prepared by the students of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków during the next edition of the Stone Sculpture Symposium “Continuum”.

At the same time were held the complementary events: Wojciech Krawczyk Funeral Fair MEMENTO Poznań and already mentioned, GLASS Industry Fair. The date of the next edition of the fair events is already known – they will be held on 20-23rd November 2019. On behalf of the organizers, we already invite everyone to the fair.
